St. Thomas

Scrip is simply a word that means "substitute money"–– in other words, Scrip is gift cards from national and local retailers. They're the same as gift cards bought at your favorite stores such Kohl's, Shaw’s, Hannaford, Wal-Mart, CVS, Applebee's, Whole Foods and many others. When purchasing these gift cards through the Scrip program, a percentage of the purchase cost goes to our school. The beauty of the Scrip programs is that you put your regular household shopping dollars to work.

The genius part of this program is, as a member of the St. Thomas family, you will also be able to benefit from this program. The rebate earned by St. Thomas is split 50/50 with the St. Thomas families. The families will have three options for their rebate: credit towards tuition, cash back, or charitable contribution to St. Thomas.

So for example: if you purchase a $100 Hannaford gift card from the Scrip Program, the rebate for Hannaford gift cards is 5%. So a $100 gift card will earn $5.00. $2.50 will go towards St. Thomas and $2.50 will go to you, whether you decide to put it towards tuition, cash back or donate it to St. Thomas, it is for you to decide. Just think about it, let’s say you by $500 worth of Hannaford groceries a month, in a year you could earn $300 ($150 for St. Thomas and $150 for you) just for buying your normal groceries. No extra costs!

To increase the options for all families, we are utilizing two Scrip programs: ShopWithScrip.com and eScrip.com. ShopWithScrip.com provides gift cards purchased though St. Thomas, ordering available on a weekly basis. eScrip.com is an online shopping mall and dining opportunity that is available 24/7, which also offers a rebate back to St. Thomas and families.
