The St. Thomas School Extended Day Program (EDP) provides care and supervision to St. Thomas students before and after school. It is especially helpful to working parents who have made a choice for parochial school education to have the same Christian environment for the whole day. This program is available from 7:00 am to 5:30 pm, Monday through Friday when school is in session. It is also very convenient for those families who may occasionally need to extend a day. The Program is not available during school vacations, holidays, snow days, or during an emergency when the school is closed. Arts and crafts projects, games and recreation, rest time for younger children, and snack time are some of the activities available. Also, there is opportunity for homework with resource materials available. As with all St. Thomas programs, EDP provides security and supervision in a familiar, Christian environment with an opportunity to develop the social skills necessary for a less structured environment. The Extended Day Program has a dedicated staff experienced in dealing with children in groups and trained in first aid. They abide by the same rules and regulations that our handbooks prescribe.
